How did you get into the consulting industry?

After many years in various line positions focusing on business and business development in both large multinational corporations and smaller entrepreneurial start-up companies, I was asked if I would consider working with Executive Search. I saw it as an inspiring challenge because I had experience in creating and building organizations – and I accepted the challenge.

What three things motivate you?

People, development, and results. People with energy; meeting new interesting people always provides new insights and inspires me daily. Continuous development; I am personally always drawn to challenges and see continuous development of a business as a healthy state. Focus on results; I want clear goals to strive towards in order to evaluate the effect of the effort.

What do you bring to Based on People, and why should customers choose you?

I work with a clear customer focus, a broad background in business and leadership, and 15 years as a consultant, giving me a platform where I can deliver value to customers. Furthermore, I have extensive experience in international projects and assignments, which means I can contribute relevant insights to assignments that span several markets.

When we start an assignment, we first want to understand what the client really needs. It may seem like we ask a lot of questions and are a bit annoying, but the purpose is to create a good understanding of the real need. We focus on the future and consider attitude, behaviors, and motivation in addition to what candidates have delivered historically.

Personal - what do you do when you are not working?

I like to take long walks early in the morning to start the day and gather my thoughts. A great interest in food and wine has been with me for many years, and my colleagues would probably describe me as a "wine nerd".
