This week's inspirations are Frida Olander and Henrik Johansson at Unga Aktiesparare (Young Shareholders).
Henrik is a person from Småland who was most recently described as a mix of Ernst Kirchsteiger and Carl Bildt. He works as the CEO of Unga Aktiesparare, where he gets the chance to drive the organization he loves forward every day.
Frida is an elite endurance cross-country skier and runner, who traded architecture for economics studies, and now works as the operations manager at Unga Aktiesparare. She thrives best when she gets to work closely with people, and together with them contribute to both individual and business development.

Frida and Henrik, how did you get involved in Unga Aktiesparare? How was your interest in stocks born?
We can both agree that the commitment took off during our university studies. I, Henrik, started my involvement when I wanted to find like-minded people to discuss my interests with. When I started getting involved, it just got more and more fun, and the rest is history, as they say. Overall, non-profit involvement has been a very important part of my personal development.
I, Frida, found Unga Aktiesparare when I had moved away from home for my studies and disliked the idea of having to live on borrowed (student loan) money. I have always had a drive to want to reap my own rewards, and through Unga Aktiesparare I learned that relatively simple means could make my saved money work for me - and grow over time.

Why should you join Unga Aktiesparare and what value do you create for your members?
We are an association that helps our members save and invest smartly. We educate our members through the local activities that are spread throughout the country, and we are represented in almost 50 locations from Ystad in the south to Luleå in the north. Our goal is for our members to have the opportunity to learn more about personal finance and how to invest wisely, this creates financial security that has clear positive effects on the general health of the individual.

Together with Based On People, you are now starting a collaboration. What does this collaboration mean and what do you think your members can get out of it?
We are so happy about this collaboration because the majority of our members are in the starting blocks for their careers, or maybe even recently started their careers. Our members will be able to take part in Based on People's expertise in leadership and career, which we hope will stimulate and give confidence to their continued development and journey towards new jobs.

Recently, no one has been able to avoid the increased interest, especially among young people, in trading stocks. TikTok, stock market apps and online forums attract record numbers of young investors to quick deals. How do you at Unga Aktiesparare view this hype?
We at Unga Aktiesparare think it is very fun that more young people are discovering and getting an interest in stocks and investments. However, we consider it problematic that many young people invest without understanding what they are investing in. It is easy to get carried away by what you hear through social media, and many miss doing their own analysis. It is therefore incredibly important to increase your knowledge in personal finance in order to have successful savings. The stock market is not a casino and therefore should not be treated as such. Our goal at Unga Aktiesparare is to educate as many young people as possible so that through their savings they can have the opportunity to add a little luxury to their everyday lives!
