Inspirational figure of the week: Mrs. Claus
Mrs. Claus, you have for a long time "worked behind the scenes" – Father Christmas has traditionally been the main figure of Christmas. Why?

Mrs. Santa, you have been "working behind the scenes" for a long time, as Santa Claus has traditionally been the main figure of Christmas. Why do you think it has been like this, and what is it really like for you at home?
Santa and I, like much of the business world and the surrounding society, have been stuck in deeply rooted and outdated structures and behaviors. There are also many unspoken expectations from the outside world associated with this. Unfortunately, it is not entirely easy to break traditions, but this year we are making progress! For us in the Santa business, for example, it has always been obvious to have an equal operation. Competence and personal qualities, nothing else, determine the role that Mrs. Santa, Santa Claus, and the elves have in our workshop! What few people know is that I, Mrs. Santa, have overall responsibility for our entire workshop; from Christmas present purchases to rhyme workshops and porridge cooking. The fact that Santa Claus has always been responsible for Christmas present deliveries is a tradition we see is starting to dissolve, like so much else in the world right now. The pandemic has also made our small workshop think anew and break traditions.
How do you think your Santa workshop will continue to develop?
I am hopeful and see that the pace of change will continue. We have long built our workshop based on the motto "differences and diversity create strength and success." We also see that this is a matter of course for the younger generation, i.e., the elves! Therefore, we have a new tradition this year: I, Mrs. Santa, together with the little elves, take care of the Christmas present distribution, and Santa Claus stays home and takes care of the complaints and other customer service. This year, there will also be an electric sled so the horses can rest in the stable.
How do you see the Christmas present trend developing and how will it develop?
The tradition of Christmas presents is deeply rooted, we like that! But we also see that the winds of change are blowing here as well. Finally, "sustainable" Christmas presents are starting to be in real demand. This year, we have also introduced a new concept: our own second-hand business. In short, this means that Christmas presents that were returned from last year are sent out again to new recipients. Just need to repackage and change the addressee!
Finally, I want to wish all our friends around in houses and huts a very Merry Christmas!
