Charlotte, you have had the opportunity to work in different organizations with different focuses; what drives and motivates you in your career choices?

- Primarily, it is about feeling a great joy and drive in my profession. I have worked in leadership roles for almost my entire professional life and always close to people. Feeling proud of the company, what I do, and represent in my professional life is extremely important to me. All companies always consist of a unique collection of employees where we treat each other as people, regardless of our fantastic product or service. I want to be in a context where together we really make a difference.

You have worked with issues/things that in various ways "touch people"; what reflections do you make based on your experiences?

- I appreciate meeting people who move me. I've met a number of such people, and I make sure to keep them in my life. Surprisingly often, people who move me are also incredibly skilled professionals. Just as I can become very engaged by an interpersonal topic, I can be deeply inspired by seeing someone's professional brilliance. I also think that the best leaders are those who dare to embrace both aspects. But above all, it is a privilege to work with things that resonate with you.

You have had the courage to change the direction of your career on several occasions; what experiences can you share?

- What you yourself may perceive as a big and perhaps somewhat shaky step is often seen by others as courageous and inspiring. It can be good to turn that perspective around. Loyalty and dedication are qualities I value very highly, and that's why I've stayed at my workplaces for a long time. But as a wise person I know once said, "If you can grow more somewhere else, be sure to replant your roots in new soil."
