What attracted you to your new role?
The opportunity to continue working for the benefit of society and to have the privilege of reinvesting parts of Sparbanken Alingsås' profits in the communities where I grew up and where my children are now growing up. I was attracted by the fact that the role is both strategic and social with large contact areas in all our four municipalities. It also felt like a good time to join Sparbanksstiftelsen Alingsås, where the board and operational management have created order and are now entering a development phase where I get to contribute.
What experience from your previous working life do you bring to your new role?
I have worked a lot with project management, marketing, business development and sustainability before. I also think it is an advantage that I have a large network of contacts in our area of operation that is relevant even in this role. I also see it as positive that I come from the "other side" and have myself been a grant recipient and project partner to Sparbanken Alingsås and Sparbanksstiftelsen Alingsås in my previous role.
Do you have any observations and reflections to share after a few months in the role?
It is clear that the Savings Bank idea really permeates everything Sparbanken and Sparbanksstiftelsen do. There is a great commitment, a big heart for the region, but also a humility in the organization. Society now has an economically tough winter to expect and then as a Foundation to own a Savings Bank is a great responsibility. Therefore, it feels extra good in my heart to know that a profitable Savings Bank gives us the opportunity to reinvest more in our municipalities.
