Elin, it has now been just over six months since you started as Regional Manager of Västra Götaland at Skogssällskapet.
What experiences have you had during this initial period?
-A lot of detailed knowledge about the company, both high and low, of course. Furthermore, the benefit of contact networks within the company and a start to contact networks outside the company. I have understood how differently we can do things – i.e. when I went from a government agency of 10,000 people to a foundation of just over 100 people, there is a big difference in structure, access to routines and processes, support, proximity to colleagues, etc.
What do you consider important in this assignment and what is required of you as a leader?
-Interest in people, a sense of how to work with different personality types, a drive to bring the group together and work on collaboration between all parties. It is also important to be able to jump from one subject to another without dropping any balls, energy & endurance.
