What attracted you to your new role?
What attracted me was the overall responsibility, that the focus was on business development as an engine for social development in general. Furthermore, that the work is based on collaboration with other social actors while we are part of the bank and have a clear mission and regulations to adhere to.
What experiences from your previous working life do you bring into your new role?
I bring with me experiences such as the importance of curiosity and openness towards other actors and what they can offer, while it is important to know your mission and relate to it. Of course, I have with me experiences from all previous workplaces and roles, but something that stands out is when I was the operations manager for a collaboration between business, academia and the public sector. The understanding of how different actors work is central when we want to move forward in innovation and growth.
What are your reflections after a few months in the role?
The importance of seeing western Sweden as a unified region and working with skills transfer to strengthen business and the labor market throughout the region. We must encourage people to look outside the municipal boundary and find job opportunities elsewhere. I myself live in Gothenburg and now work in the Alingsås area, a region with an incredible entrepreneurial spirit and enterprise but which is crying out for skills. There are many opportunities if you look up a little.
