How did it go then? We follow up Jimmy Dahlström at Ramirent
We follow up with our recruited candidate Jimmy Dahlström after a number of years at Ramirent in the role of responsible for The Temporary Factory.

Meet Jimmy who a number of years ago took on the role as responsible for "The Temporary Factory" at Ramirent. Jimmy has a long background from the community building industry and a great interest in developing the entire industry and its organizations.
How did you experience the recruitment process and was the assignment at Ramirent as it had been presented to you?
No, the job and the recruitment process were far beyond my expectations! I experienced the process as professional and rigorous, which paved the way for me to fit well for the role. Ramirent's culture and view of leadership lined up perfectly with my own, and I could also contribute from day one with my expertise that complemented the team. I also think that I have made several new friends in my colleagues.
What does it mean to lead "The Temporary Factory" and in what way can it contribute to streamlining the industry?
It involves a lot of leadership where we try to create a market that does not exist. It requires a large portion of enthusiasm weighed against a careful strategy that is ultimately my responsibility that everyone buys into. I have P&L responsibility and am ultimately responsible for the business unit's results and growth.
The Temporary Factory includes everything that is not left on the construction site after the construction is completed - scaffolding, modules, elevators and much more. To make the job as smooth as possible, there is also a dedicated organization that project manages on site and ensures that everyone who works on the construction site can focus on doing their job as well as possible. A bit like the oil in the machinery, or like the material manager in a sports team.
We like to see ourselves as enablers for our clients, creating the conditions for them to succeed by allowing them to focus on their core business. We have several successful projects where we have created value for our clients, but also for the city's residents, such as Urban Escape, Sergelhuset, and Danderyd Hospital. Working with development and innovation in community building has always been close to my heart.
What lessons have you learned from your years at Ramirent, and how do you view the industry's development in general?
I have learned a lot about myself as a leader, but also about team spirit and the importance of a strong team. The community building industry, like many other industries, faces challenges, but I believe that the organizations that are quick to adapt and focus on sustainability, digitalization, and collaboration will remain strong during the tough times ahead. Den Temporära Fabriken will continue to invest and grow, contributing to a better community building.
