How did the name Based On People arise?
Our company name arose, as in so many cases, through an internal process over time. BasedOn was for a long time an alternative, but never really caught on internally, something was missing in the name. Therefore, several alternative name proposals were developed.
On some occasion thereafter, in a discussion about our business idea, a clear focus on People arose - it is people we base our business on, both internally and externally. BasedOn therefore became Based On People, a name that felt good for all parties involved. But to be extra sure that it was the right choice, an open vote was initiated in social media, mainly LinkedIn and Facebook, where various proposed names were included. The result was overwhelmingly clear.
The name should be Based On People.
