Jula Retail Logistics is seeking a Logistics Director, who will also serve as CEO, to take overall responsibility for the Group’s distribution center in Skara—one of Northern Europe’s largest warehouses—and to further develop a modern, data-driven, and sales-oriented 3PL operation.

About Jula and Jula Retail Logistics

Jula was founded in 1979 as a family-owned business and, under the ownership of Karl-Johan Blank, has grown into a group with operations in Retail, Real Estate, Logistics, Hotels, and Environment & Energy. The group has approximately 4,900 employees and operates, among other things, 161 Jula stores and 73 Hööks stores in several European countries. Jula is in a clear phase of growth and expansion—both organically, through acquisitions, and through an aggressive push into e-commerce.

Jula Retail Logistics (JRL) was founded in 2025 and is responsible for the Group’s warehouse and distribution logistics. The company operates Jula’s distribution center in Skara—approximately 225,000 m² and one of Northern Europe’s largest warehouses—with 24/7 operations, modern automation (AutoStore, AGV), and approximately 450 employees. JRL is a 3PL provider that currently serves Jula and Hööks and has the potential to grow as an external logistics partner in the future.

About the role

As Logistics Director and CEO, you will have overall responsibility for operations and employees at the distribution center in Skara. You will report to the CEO of Jula Logistics and lead a cutting-edge supply chain operation. Your responsibilities will include, among other things:

• Overall responsibility for operations and staff at the data center in Skara (approximately 450 people, including about 50 white-collar employees)
• Ensure the best and most effective logistics solutions for Jula and Hööks—solutions that boost their sales
• Manage sales-oriented outbound logistics
• Lead ongoing efforts to improve and streamline operations using modern, data-driven logistics
• Complete the expansion of the distribution center and optimize automation and picking processes
• Help shape the next phase of the Group's international logistics solution
• Location: Skara  

We're looking for you

We are looking for a modern, curious, and business-minded leader who views logistics as a driver of sales.
We believe you have:

• A college degree, preferably with a focus on logistics, engineering, or economics
• Substantial leadership experience in similar environments, with responsibility for both white-collar and blue-collar employees
• Operational experience in warehouse logistics—a background solely in transportation or consulting is not sufficient
• Experience with automated warehouse solutions (e.g., AutoStore, AGV) and driving change in large-scale operations
• Experience working in a data-driven manner to optimize workflows and reduce the cost per unit
• Ability to be both strategic and operational—confident in setting the direction and resolving day-to-day bottlenecks
