We offer complete solutions in VS, Electricity and Ventilation – from material and installation to service and maintenance. We are now looking for a driven and business-minded category manager in VS who wants to be involved in developing our product segment and strengthening our competitiveness in an expansive phase. Comfort is investing in continued growth through acquisitions and recruitment of new member companies, with the aim of an IPO in 2025.
About the role
As a Category Manager for Plumbing and Sanitation (VS) at Comfort, you will play a central role in developing and optimizing our product segment within VS. You will strategically and operationally drive purchasing efforts, from strategy development to implementation and follow-up. In this role, you will work closely with our member and subsidiary companies to ensure that our purchasing efforts support the Group's business objectives. You will report to the Head of Business Support and be responsible for leading the purchasing council for VS.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for a profitable and market-adapted VS range.
- Perform analysis and follow-up to ensure that the product range meets market needs and follows established strategy.
- Lead category management and ensure products with the right price and quality.
- Negotiate with suppliers and develop long-term partnerships.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs for continuous improvement of the product range.
- Support and train our companies in effective purchasing and use of the "Comfort range".
- The Category Manager will also work and support our companies with project purchases.
- Develop and follow up on category plans.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- Post-secondary education in purchasing, economics and/or Supply Chain.
- At least five years of experience in business responsibility and/or purchasing and/or product responsibility within VS or related product area.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier development and contract management.
- Ability to work in a structured and analytical manner, with good experience of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
- A service-oriented and supportive approach is crucial to promote and establish successful collaboration with the Group's companies.
Background and skills
You have a documented background in supplier development, negotiation and product range development, as well as experience in project management. Your industry experience and technical understanding within VS or related product areas mean that you can quickly familiarize yourself with and contribute to our work. You enjoy inspiring others and creating commitment around common goals and projects.
Location
The role is located at Comfort-Kedjan's headquarters in Kista. The role involves an average of about 1-2 days of travel per week as you are expected to work closely with our companies and suppliers.
