Would you like to modernize the finance department at Sweden’s largest magazine distributor?
Tidsam is seeking a Chief Financial Officer with overall responsibility for the finance function—at a company in the midst of an exciting transformation.
This is a role for someone who wants to combine operational financial responsibility with change leadership, process development, and digital transformation—in an organization that is a market leader, owner-managed, and ready to take the next step.
About Tidsam
Tidsam is Sweden’s largest distributor of newspapers and magazines—both Swedish and international—and serves as the central link between publishers and the Swedish grocery and retail sectors, with 3,700 retailers. The company is owned by four publishers—Bonnier, Allers, Egmont, and Albinsson & Sjöberg—which are also represented on a dedicated board of directors.
With a commission-based business model, Tidsam generates approximately 800 Mkr in revenue and holds a leading position in magazine distribution in Sweden. In addition to its core business, the company is expanding into new business areas, including logistics services for e-commerce companies through its subsidiary Swedcirc, as well as closer Nordic cooperation with its sister companies Bladcentralen in Norway and UBD in Denmark.
Despite a mature market with declining volumes, Tidsam remains strong thanks to its focus on new business opportunities combined with ongoing efficiency improvements. As CFO, you will lead the continued development toward a modern, business-oriented, and digital finance function with efficient processes and a strong operational focus.
About the role
As Chief Financial Officer, you will report to CEO Jonas Regnér and lead the finance department, which currently consists of four employees: a publishing controller, an accounts receivable specialist, an accounting manager, and an accounts payable specialist. Your responsibilities will also include managing outsourced services such as external payroll processing, company cars, and more.
This position is a replacement hire for the current finance manager, who is leaving after many years in the role. The finance function will continue to evolve, and you will have a clear mandate to create stability, drive automation, and improve efficiency—with excellent opportunities to grow into a full-fledged CFO role over time.
